Hi Danielle - I am a new annual subscriber! We have visited Di Pietro trattoria twice and the family cantina once. They are a fabulous family. I encourage your followers who are traveling to Italy to make an effort to visit the Di Pietro family trattoria. One will be charmed by "Southern Hospitality".
We met Chef Rafi with Sarah in Irpinia two years ago and most recently we met Rafi in the Southern Berkshires just before his most recent trip to Italy. Rafi hope to open his pizza restaurant in Egremont, MA this June. As you point out Rafi is bringing Melito Irpino and Irpinia to the Southern Berkshires.
Can’t wait to visit ♥️

Bob, thank you so much for your support! You too are one of southern italy’s treasures. And I saw that you will be helping Rafi with his wine list!
yes - I would hope that Rafi has a list of predominantly Southern Italian wines from families like DiPietro and Pupo Nardone/Sarah Pompei.
7 kinds of wild greens! Be still my heart (I haven't found vegetables I love as much up here in Venice and the Veneto)
I thought of your chicory posts when I was in Rome last week eating piles of it!
